Thanks to the lockdown, there has been a huge jump in voice and video calls on all leading video conferencing apps like Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype, Teams, Google Duo, House party, Blue Jeans and more.
Facebook owned Whatsapp, which allows only up to 4 people over a video call, has now come with an enhancement to its existing feature. While Zoom & other apps are allowing large number of participants, users across the world largely inclined to those apps for video calling.
So, the leading messaging and calling app which has more than 1.6 billion users in the world has now doubled group call limit to 8 people. It was one of the major announcements made by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Whatsapp began to roll out the enhanced feature to beta version users on iOS and Android and it will rolling out to rest of the users starting next week. The enhanced feature will help the users to connect with more number of family and friends at a time.
