‘Pandulu Gumpuga Vastayi, Simham Single Ga Vastundi’, MP RRR

For the past few days, Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s open defiance against the party high command and his own party MLAs and leaders have become hot topic in political and media circuits.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju went a step further and challenged the party MLAs under his Lok Sabha constituency to resign to their posts and contest again. He said he would also resign to his Lok Sabha seat and contest again. Raju said let people decide whom to win and whom to lose.

Responding to the attack of YCP MLAs in Narsapuram parliament constituency and district-incharge minister Perni Nani, Raghurama Krishnam Raju said a group of MLAs have started attacking him politically all at once.

He uttered popular dialogue of superstar Rajinikanth from the movie Sivaji. “Pandule Gumpuga Vasthayi, Simham Single Ga Vasthundi,” said Raghurama Krishnam Raju. By saying so, Raju has equated his party MLAs with pigs. This is a serious comment from YSRCP MP against their own party MLAs.

Raju has attacked Kottu Satyanarayana, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, Grandhi Srinivas and Prasad Raju.

He dubbed Kottu Satyanarayana as a “Sand-mining thief”. Raghurama Krishnam Raju accused Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao of involving in taking bribes in land distribution and also alleged that hundreds of complaints have poured in against Karumuri Nageswara Rao. However, Raghurama Krishnam Raju said he has nothing to say against Grandhi Srinivas and called him as “honest”.

Raju said that Grandhi Srinivas had also felt bad that he hadn’t got CM Jagan’s appointment. Raju said he doesn’t know what assurance Grandhi Srinivas has got now. Raghurama Krishnam Raju complimented that Prasad Raju is also honest politician. He said Prasad Raju was forced to speak against him and it was visible on his face.

Meanwhile, Raghurama Krishnam Raju had claimed that Prashant Kishor had tried his best to rope him on board before 2019 polls. He said he was first approached by PK in Feb 2019 through a person called Rishi of I-PAC. He said PK knew where and how he had met him. He also said Vijay Sai Reddy and Raji Reddy are aware of the happenings then and how he was roped into YSRCP. Interestingly, Raghurama Krishnam Raju had also complimented CM YS Jagan. He said Jagan doesn’t lie.

This fight between MLAs in Narsapuram Lok Sabha segment and Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju had started when the latter had commented that all the MLAs under his parliament’s segment won due to his brand image and face image. He also added that they hadn’t won due to party chief and then CM candidate YS Jagan’s image.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s comments continue to court controversy after the controversy and sensationalism after the sensationalism. His sudden statements are turning out to be huge political topics within the party. Raju’s comments have sidelined the issue of TDP leaders’ arrest in the state.
