On various grounds, there is huge craze around natural star Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy which indeed is one of the highly anticipated movies. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film presents Nani in different dimensions and we get to see the film’s core point in the teaser which has been unveiled just a while ago.
Shyam Singha Roy teaser begins with Sai Pallavi’s voiceover. She explicates the helpless situation of people, as those who are meant to protect them like a god turn monsters and are capitalizing on their feebleness. She talks about Devdasi system and when they needed a helping hand, Shyam Singha Roy arrives.
Besides motivating people through his writings, he also takes the initiative to combat for the good cause. The best part in this period story is Nani as Shyam Singha Roy giving a stern warning in the temple, followed by the scene where Nani is seen turning his head while smoking a cigarette and working on his journal on a typewriter.
On the other hand, the teaser also presents other dimension of Nani as Vasu who is in love with his girlfriend played by Krithi Shetty who kisses on his lips in a sequence. Apparently, there’s a strong connection between these two stories.
Nani shows his Ugraroopam as Shyam Singha Roy and he looks apt in the role. His makeover and body language are just exceptional. Sai Pallavi amazes in traditional Bengali attire and we get to see her dances in the video. Krithi Shetty looks stunning as Nani’s girlfriend.
Sanu John Varghese’s camera work is stupendous, while Mickey J Meyer’s background score make the narrative exciting and Avinash Kolla’s production design needs a special mention here. Production standards of Niharika Entertainment are top class.
The teaser surpasses our expectations and it sets bar further high on the movie. Shyam Singha Roy is scheduled for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on December 24th as Christmas special.
