Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has turned emotional at the Visakha Ukku Stir (Visakha Ukku Udyama Sabha) and stated that he is ready to do anything to stop the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). Chandrababu Naidu said he is ready to even listen to CM Jagan and act together against the Centre’s decision to privatize Vizag Steel Plant.

“I don’t have an ego. Though I’m a senior leader, I’m even ready to listen to CM Jagan to save the Vizag Steel Plant. Will do everything to help the people of the state,” Chandrababu Naidu said the movement against the privatisation of VSP. Naidu added that the more responsibility lies on the state government.

“TDP will fight tooth and nail till the decision to privatise the steel plant is reversed. The state government needs to act its best in the interest of people. The people have voted this government to the power. The state government has to keep up the people’s confidence. As an Opposition we will cooperate to the state government in this matter,” added Chandrababu.

Chandrababu has withdrawn TDP leader Palla Srinivas’ fast-unto-death stir and said that TDP would fight against the privatisation of steel plant. Naidu said that the people of Andhra Pradesh have fought and sacrificed a lot to make Vizag Steel Plant a reality. He said TDP won’t let the sacrifices of people go vain. He gave a call to CM Jagan to take up fight against the Centre. He said TDP would support Jagan.

Chandrababu vowed to tender resignation to his MLA seat in a fraction of minute as a protest against the Vizag Steel Plant’s privatisation. Naidu added that all the MLAs and MPs of TDP are ready to resign to their posts if YSRCP MLAs and MPs resign.
