Earlier biopics in Tollywood were rare but the times have changed and every year we are witnessing at least one biopic release. Soon we are going to have one more biopic and it is based on the life of legendary filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao.
Davala Satyam will be directing Dasari biopic while Thadivaka Ramesh will be producing it under Image Films banner. Announcing the biopic, the makers said Dasari’s biopic will be made on a huge budget with high technical values. The film is reportedly titled ‘Darshaka Ratna’ but is to be officially announced.
But the big question is who would be essaying Dasari on the silver screen. The makers added that they are in talks with a top hero and very soon, they would confirm him along with the rest of the cast and crew.
Born in the year 1947, Dasari made his directorial debut in the year 1972 with ‘Tata Manavadu.’ He went on to direct over 100 films and his last directorial was ‘Erra Bus’ featuring him and Vishnu Manchu.
In May 2017, Dasari passed away after prolonged illness.
