Many Bollywood biggies are opting for a direct digital release after the coronavirus pandemic. One of them is Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India. This patriotic film is going to have a direct release on Disney+Hotstar. The trailer of it dropped about a while ago.
Bhuj’s story is set in the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The trailer is packed with mammoth action sequences, heavy patriotic dialogues, and a thumping background score.
It reminds us of many war films like Kargil, Tango Charlie, and LOC. Ajay Devgn played the role of IAF Squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who was the in-charge of Bhuj Airport at the time of the war. The film showcases how he reconstructed the entire airbase with the help of 300 women from a neighbouring village after Pakistani forces have attacked the Bhuj Airport.
Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha played the roles of villagers who support Ajay Devgn. Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, and Nora Fatehi are seen as Indian soldiers. Pranitha Subash seems to have played the role of Ajay’s romantic interest in the film.
The patriotic dialogues will connect with most of the audiences. The fights look fiercely composed as well. One of the fight sequences in the movie is composed by Ajay himself.
Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, Bhuj: The Pride of India will have its premiere on August 13.
