For the last couple of days, everyone in the film industry is discussing the box office clash that is going to take place for Sankranthi next year. Four films are heading into a big box office clash and it is creating a unique curiosity.
The movie lovers are looking forward to the release of four big films during Sankranthi next year. The teams of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, PSPK-Rana movie, Radhe Shyam, and F3 confirmed their arrival at theatres.
Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata team confirmed their arrival during Sankranthi last year itself. Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu was supposed to release during Sankranthi but there is a delay in the film’s shoot. Now, the makers of the Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake occupied the slot.
The other day, the makers of Radhe Shyam too confirmed their release during Sankranthi. Although the film’s shoot is over, the makers decided to take time for post-production and release the film for Sankranthi.
During the success meet of Narappa, Venkatesh also confirmed that his film F3 will release for Sankranthi. The film’s first part F2 also released during Sankranthi in 2019.
This is not the first time that we witnessed box office clashes. There were times when Chiranjeevi’s film and Balakrishna’s film headed into the clash. Even during 2020 Sankranthi, Allu Arjun, and Mahesh Babu competed at the box office with their respective films.
However, there was a time in 2001 when Mrugaraju, Narasimha Naidu, and Devi Putrudu were released at a time. After almost two decades, the mega box office clash is taking place.
What remains a big question is the clarity if all the four films will stick to their release dates for Sankranthi next year. Amidst the pandemic and the emergence of the third wave, the restrictions on theatres and the lack of interest in viewers to step into theatres will be a major concern for the producers in sticking to the original release dates.
Whatever it may be, the time will answer everything.
