Naanga Vera Maari is the first released single of Ajith’s upcoming film Valimai. It was out a couple of days back and since then, the song has been smashing all the records on Youtube. It created a record by gaining one million likes within 23 hours 5 minutes.
On the flip side, Kutti Story, which was the first released single of Vijay’s last film Master, gained 1.4 million likes in 24 hours. On paper, Valimai has beaten the record of Kutty Story. But there is a twist to it. The makers have set a reminder for Naanga Vera Maari two hours before its release.
People can like the video after setting up a premiere. They need not wait for the video to get released. In that way, the song got more than a lakh likes before it had officially been released. But that is not the case with Vijay’s Kutti Story, which had been released without any premiere reminder.
Thus, Vijay’s fans claim that they still hold the record technically and Ajith’s fans are disapproving for the same. On the whole, these fan wars are quite common in the Tamil and Telugu film industries and it is high time for them to stop petty fights and start enjoying every single movie.
