Veteran actor Anupam Shyam (64) died on Sunday following multiple organ failures. Anupam Shyam is famous for his roles in Lagaan, Dil Se, Satya, Golmaal, and Sulmdog Millionaire.
His co-star from Lagaan and friend Yashpal Sharma and producer Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news of Anupam’s death. The actor was last seen in Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya 2.
Anupam Shyam was hospitalised for 4 days. He had high blood sugar and used to take injections during the shooting of his last film. “Sad to know about the demise of one of the finest actors & a great human being #AnupamShyam due to multiple organ failure. My heartfelt condolences to his family. A great loss to the film & tv industry,” producer Ashoke Pandit said.
It is reported Anupam had developed serious kidney issues and was admitted to a hospital in July last year where he collapsed during dialysis. Actors Manoj Bajpayee and Sonu Sood helped the actor and his family last year.
