Nayanthara Confirms Engagement With Vignesh Shivan

Finally, putting an end to the months-long speculations, actress Nayanthara has officially confirmed her engagement with Vignesh Shivan. The ‘Lady Superstar’ made this big revelation on a television show while promoting her upcoming Disney+Hotstar film ‘Netrikann’.

During a recent promotional interview with popular Tamil TV hostess Dhivayadarshini aka DD on Vijay TV, Nayan flashed her ring and revealed that it’s her “engagement ring”. The interview, which is scheduled to be aired soon, has been a hot topic ever since the promotional video started going viral on social media.

In March earlier this year, Nayan’s beau Vignesh Shivan took to his Instagram and posted a lovely picture of Nayanthara leaning over him with a ring on her finger. Vignesh had captioned the photo as “Viralodu uyir kooda korthu” (Finger is tied up with life). While the lovebirds had kept the news under wraps, the post led to countless rumours on their engagement.

Nayan and Vighnesh fell in love with each other while working on their 2015 super hit romantic action entertainer ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. Nayan is currently acting in a multi-starrer under Vignesh Shivan. Titled ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’, the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha. Interestingly, ‘Netrikann’ is presented by Vignesh.
