Ever since javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, he became a star in the country. Already, people started speculating that his biopic will be made soon by Bollywood filmmakers. Even Neeraj was asked about the same in a recent interview.
The 23-year-old athlete said that he would like to see Akshay Kumar or Randeep Hooda playing his role in the biopic. Soon, Akshay Kumar was asked by a news portal whether he would like to do Neeraj’s role.
Responding to it, Akshay said, “I would say Neeraj Chopra is a very good-looking guy. Agar mera koi biopic karega toh woh kar sakta hai (If at all a biopic will be made on my life, he can be the lead hero in it).”
Several netizens shared Akshay’s old picture and wrote that the actor has already started preparing for Neeraj’s biopic. Apparently, the Housefull actor also came across those memes.
“I saw that meme where I am holding a stick in my hand. It’s from my first film Saugandh. People started saying, ‘Arre, abhi se practice chalu ho gayi! (He has already started practicing for the film)’,” he stated.
On the flip side, Neeraj said in another interview that he doesn’t want his biopic to be made anytime soon. He feels it is too early and he has a lot to achieve in the coming years. Neeraj felt that the film should be made once he retires from the game.
