Ahead of meeting AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy regarding the issues of Telugu film industry, Chiranjeevi has called on Tollywood biggies. As AP Cinematographer Minister Perni Nani called Chiranjeevi and invited to meet CM Jagan, Chiru decided to discuss the matter with the Tollywood biggies before going to meet AP CM. Several prominent producers and directors have been invited for a meeting at Chiranjeevi’s residence today to discuss the issues that are bothering them.
Covid-19 crisis has crippled the Tollywood. The exhibitors and distributors are struggling hard which in turn is affecting the producers and other sectors of the industry. Also, the ticket prices in AP are ‘low’. Telugu Film Chamber president Narayandas Narang, actor Nagarjuna, producers Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, KS Ramarao, Damodar Prasad, Asian Cinemas Sunil Narang, Sravanthi Movies Ravi Kishore, C Kalyan, NV Prasad, Gemini Kiran, UV Creations Vicky, Supriya, BVSN Prasad, directors Koratala Siva, VV Vinayak, Meher Ramesh and others have attended the meet.
It is learnt that ticket prices were at the top of the meeting’s agenda. The variation in ticket prices in Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations could be the demand of the Tollywood makers. Also, the makers are wanting the permission for the fifth show in addition to the current four shows per day. The industry folks are also expecting support from AP state government for the films that are shot in AP and also may expect support to the small filmmakers.
All in all, Chiru has gathered all the top makers on to one stage to discuss the issues before going to meet AP CM. It’s a welcome move by Chiru.
