Hero Sree Vishnu is all excited about his film Raja Raja Chora. Directed by first timer Hasith Goli and co-starring Megha Akash and Sunaina as female leads, the film will arrive in theatres tomorrow. Interim, the actor interacted with media. Here are excerpts from his interview:
What made you to compare your film with Venkatesh’s films?
Raja Raja Chora is a wholesome entertainer with right dose of comedy and emotions. We feel like watching Venkatesh’s film. Venky sir called me after the release of trailer and told me that my comedy timing was extraordinary. I first got the opportunity to meet him after the release of Needi Naadi Oke Katha. He gives me valuable suggestions. They are very helpful in selecting good subjects. He suggested me to do films which will appeal to masses. My next films are set in village backdrop.
You were emotional and at the same time looked confident at pre-release?
I happened to watch the movie and was carried away by the emotions. I wanted to present my confidence as there is fear on theatre business. I spoke out of my heart. I can’t divulge any spoilers about the film, but there is a special song crooned by Sid Sriram. It will be totally different from his previous songs.
How will be your character?
I played a thief who is very manipulative. I did comedy earlier as well. But, I tried different modulation in this movie.
Will this film be remade in other languages?
My previous films are being remade in other languages. I didn’t mean to say that, Bollywood filmmakers will come all the way to buy the remake rights immediately. According to me, the story has the potentiality in doing well in any language.
Why did you reject other script narrated by Hasith Goli?
It’s a different genre story. It’s a travel film with disease-oriented subject. I told him to do another subject first, as there is risk involved in that story.
How was it working with new directors?
There will be some fear while working with new directors. However, when I feel that he can handle the subject well, I have no qualms. In fact, I feel comfortable working with newcomers.
There is huge appreciation for Vivek Sagar’s work. What do you say about it?
Vivek Sagar’s music is the major attraction of the film. In fact, those who watch the film will first talk about his work.
How was it working with Megha Akash and Sunaina?
It’s my first time working with Megha Akash and Sunaina. They will become busy heroines after this film. They played career best characters in the movie.
Tell us about your next projects?
I’m doing Arjuna Phalguna which is nearing completion. Bhala Thandanana is another different film. I’m also doing a cop-biopic which is half done. The actor concludes saying he feels proud of doing Raja Raja Chora.
