Telangana film chamber of commerce’s pressmeet about Tuck Jagadish releasing the same day (on OTT) as Love Story ended up as how it should not be. A couple of exhibitors who spoke at the pressmeet lost their cool and started attacking Nani for Tuck Jagadish.
Tuck Jagadish OTT release is an issue pertaining to the producers and Nani can not stop them until a limit is reached with so much of uncertainty all around. That has exactly happened with Tuck Jagadish.
If there is any actor who has spoken in support of theaters, openly, it is Nani himself. There was no one who blamed a star producer like Suresh Babu when he decided to let Narappa out on OTT. But criticizing Nani for the same, even when he is not the producer of the film is not correct. This selective criticism indicates that a star hero and producer from a big family are an exception from being blamed for OTT release, while a hero without a background is not.
These are the situations that need to be handled based in issue but targeting an individual whose genuine wish was to release his movie in theaters, is wildly unreasonable. Every one right from the biggies to small heroes played safe on issues like ticket prices, only Nani spoke about it.
Coming to the actual topic, neither the producer nor the chamber has any locus standi on this issue, the agreement has been signed and now, Tuck Jagadish is Amazon’s. They will decide when to release keeping their business interests in mind.
