Iconic director Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the shoot of his dream project Ponniyin Selvan. Right now, the team is shooting a few crucial scenes in the Orchha city of Madya Pradesh. One of the film’s lead actresses, Trisha Krishnan has joined the sets the other day.
Trisha took on Instagram to announce her arrival on Ponniyin Selvan’s sets in Orchha. Apparently, the makers are shooting a few pooja sequences with Trisha right now. She is playing the role of Chola Princess Kundhavai in the movie.
Jayam Ravi is playing the titular role in the film. Trisha will be seen as his sister. Karthi, who is playing the role of Vandhiyathevan, will be seen as Trisha’s love interest. Vikram and Aishwarya Rai are playing the roles of Aditya Karikalan and Nandini respectively.
Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarathkumar, Parthipen, Vikram Prabhu, and Jayaram are playing other important roles in the movie.
AR Rahman and Ravi Varman are handling the music and camera departments respectively. Ponniyin Selvan is being made in two parts. The first part will release during summer 2022.
