Telugu film industry is probably the only sector in the Indian cinema whose theatrical business is blooming after the second lockdown. Since the reopening of the theatres, we have seen an array of small film releases. Even this Friday, there are five new releases that are testing their luck at the box office.
Sridevi Soda Center:
One of the two notable releases that hit the screens tomorrow. Starring Sudheer Babu in the lead role, the film is directed by Karuna Kumar. Aanandhi played the female lead in it. Touted to be a love story set in a rural backdrop, this movie seems to have been packed with strong socio-political elements.
Ichata Vahanamulu Nilupa Radu:
Another notable release of this week. After Ala…Vaikunthapurramuloo, actor Sushanth chose to do this comedy thriller in the direction of S. Darshan. The trailer got a good response and the trade pundits are expecting this movie to open well tomorrow. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead in it.
House Arrest:
Director Sekhar Reddy Yerra of 90 ML is now coming up with a comedy caper called House Arrest. This movie promises to be a hilarious fun ride and features a bunch of kids in the lead roles. Prominent comedians Srinivas Reddy and Sapthagiri played other important roles in it.
Suryasthamayam:
Director Bandi Saroj Kumar, who is known for his straightforward interviews, is releasing his long-delayed movie Suryasthamayam tomorrow. He is highly confident about the success of the film and promises that people will remember it for two decades.
Great Shankar:
This is the Telugu dubbed version of the 2017 Malayalam film Masterpiece. Touted to be an action thriller, this movie features Mammootty, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles.
It has to be seen which of these five releases will strike the gold at the box office tomorrow.
