Ever since his debut film, director Siva Nirvana has become a huge fan of Malayalam Gopi Sundar whose songs from the films Ninnu Kori and Majili are chartbusters. And the composer’s re-recording work is also of top-notch if some of his background scores are anything to go by. And here’s an interesting phenomenon.
Though Gopisundar gave terrific songs for Majili movie that are steeling reeling in the hearts of romantic movie lovers, somehow there came a tiff between Samantha and Gopi when it comes to BGM. For reasons unknown the composer has backed out of the film’s re-recording and Samantha got Thaman involved to make the score. She thanked Thaman multiple times for saving the total film with his terrific work.
And now, when it comes to Tuck Jagadish, while Thaman has given songs, he hasn’t composed the background score. Interestingly Gopi Sundar came aboard to do the BGM for the film and going by trailer it looks like the music track has come out very well. One wonders why a BGM specialist like Thaman hasn’t scored it, and then Gopi Sundar came aboard.
As Shine Screens is the same banner that produced both these films, maybe they availed the services of Gopisundar for Tuck Jagadish’s background score, as the composer was already paid for BGM of Majili earlier.
