Bheemla Nayak’s title song has been topping the charts ever since it was released the other day. Composed by Thaman, this song featured the vocals of Sri Krishna, Prudhvi Chandra, Ram Miriyala, and Thaman himself.
Meanwhile, the song also has a prologue which was crooned by Kinnera artist Darsanam Mogulaiah. In fact, this bit of the song has become more popular and Darsanam Mogulaiah attained huge attention in the last 24 hours.
For those who are unaware, Darsanam Mogulaiah is a renowned artist who is known for using Kinnera musical instrument. He hails from Avusalikunta village of Lingala Mandal, located in Nagar Kurnool district. Mogulaiah learned this art from his father Yellaiah. He is probably the only artist who is currently playing this instrument which is on the verge of extinction.
The government of Telangana recognized the talent of Mogulaiah and awarded him with a Ugadi prize in the past. His story was also included as a lesson in the eighth standard textbooks. However, his economical situation worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A popular newspaper published the sorry state of Mogulaiah and that’s when the Telangana government started giving him a special pension of Rs. 10,000 every month. Later, Power Star Pawan Kalyan came across Mogulaiah and his works.
The star hero then suggested the makers of Bheemla Nayak to use Mogulaiah’s voice for the film. That’s how the opportunity landed in the lap of Darsanam Mogulaiah and he now became the latest singing sensation of Tollywood.
