Hero Gopichand is hopeful that his thirst for a hit film will be concluded by his upcoming release Seetimaar, which is a Kabaddi film with masala touch by director Sampath Nandi. While promoting this movie, the actor made some interesting comments, which is actually explaining the need of proper personal PR and trustworthy wellwishers that many heroes usually carry around them.
When quizzed about why he is not picking up winning subjects, Gopichand stated that he’s not getting those subjects but at the same time he can’t sit idle without doing films in the name of waiting for the right script. Well, the point is, how would right scripts find their hero? There come the PR teams, Managers and well-wishers into the picture.
Actually, when a director narrates a good subject to some production house, targeting some small heroes, these teams get a whiff of the same. If they feel that story is interesting, they convince the director to bring the same story to their hero once. And if the hero also likes it, then that film will take off in a big way. These batches literally find out which story is being narrated by whom and will never leave their hands off a good subject. That’s how some star heroes always land in ‘winning’ stories but not vice versa.
Back then, whenever a director was said to have narrated a good story to some other hero, there were rumours that Allu Arvind used to get a hand on that, and used to make them narrate the same to Megastar Chiranjeevi. Similarly, even the likes of Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun have few well-wishers around them, who always strive to find good stories doing rounds and bring it to their heroes.
And moreover, Gopi should be able to churn out at least one happening movie such that young directors will directly come to him with the newest ideas. If he keeps on churning routine masala films, then new-age directors may not look at him as an option.
