Director Shiva Nirvana is gearing up for the release of his new outing Tuck Jagadish, which premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 10. Starring Nani in the lead role, this film has opted for a direct digital release due to financial issues. Still, it is maintaining a good buzz ahead of its OTT release.
Star composer Thaman worked as the music director of this movie. However, the makers chose Gopi Sundar to compose the background score. For his earlier film Majili, Shiva used Thaman for the background score and Gopi Sundar for song compositions.
People were astonished by this vague choice of the director. There were reports stating that things didn’t go well between Shiva Nirvana and Thaman during the post-production works of Tuck Jagadish and thus, the former opted to go with Gopi Sundar for the background score. But neither Shiva Nirvana nor Thaman has opened up on the issue.
Meanwhile, Shiva Nirvana was asked about the same topic in a recent interview. He said that Tuck Jagadish needs a light-hearted background score and thus, the makers felt Gopi would be an apt choice for it.
If we look at Majili, even it is a normal relationship drama that doesn’t need any heavy background score. But Shiva chose Thaman for its background score. As Thaman succeeded in scoring a good BGM for Majili, he would have easily composed such music for Tuck Jagadish as well.
It looked like he wanted to evade talking about differences with Thaman and gave away an easy answer to the media.
