Bigg Boss season 5 was launched last Sunday amidst huge expectations. This time, the makers decided to send 19 contestants into the house, which is the highest for any season in the history of Bigg Boss Telugu. But, this plan seems to be not working quite well.
Having so many contestants in the house will first create confusion among audiences. Most of the contestants are unknown celebrities and the viewers are finding it difficult to remember their faces due to the less screen time given to them.
The show runs only for an hour and covering all the 19 contestants will be a huge task for makers. Until now, only a few people got good screen time, and the rest of others seem to be ignored by the makers.
People who got more screen time in the first two episodes include Vishwa, Anchor Ravi, Jaswanth Padala, Siri, Lobo, RJ Kajal, and Lahari. Others like Sreerama Chandra, Shanmukh Jaswanth, Swetha Varma, Sunny, Uma, Priya, Hamida, and Natraj Master aren’t getting any screen time.
Usually, audiences get registered to the faces of housemates within a couple of days. But now, it looks like we may take a week or two to get familiar with all the contestants. That will affect nominations as well because the viewers don’t find enough reasons to support some contestants as they didn’t see them much.
Thus, this strategy of makers didn’t succeed well. They would have continued with 16 contestants, which is ideal. Viewers are hoping that at least now, the makers try to give equal screen time to all the contestants of the show.
