The unfortunate accident of hero Sai Dharam Tej landed him in an unconscious state but that is leading to various debates and controversies on social media. With folks taking sides about the accident, the war of works is going out of control for sure. Here is a chat between leading filmmaker Harish Shankar and an input editor from a leading news channel that is raising eyebrows.
With some media outlets cooking stories that Saidharam drove his big at a breakneck speed, director Harish Shankar took strong objection to it. However, rather than criticising that straight, he has weaved little masala around it, saying, “Hats off Saidharam Tej for feeding so many people from the hospital bed too. Everyone who is selling fake news in the name of your accident should be happy and safe”, on his Twitter page.
Hurt by the posting, an input editor from a popular Telugu news channel felt that it became a fashion for everyone these days to criticize the media. “You can make provoking and violent stories as films to earn crores but you criticize when media speaks about over speeding,” the journalist wrote. But this landed him in a soup, as netizens are quick to say that if the journalist is agreeing to the fact that the overspeeding on Sai Dharam Tej is a fake one.
At the same time, Harish Shankar shot back saying that films have Censor Board as an authority to oversee if the content fits into society or not, but what does news channel’s have. With his question demanding merit, the journalist shot back saying, “I know how films getting censored for being a Censor Board Member and shared Aravindasametha Censor certificate that bore his name”.
Reacting to this again, Harish Shankar wrote, “So like how we post a disclaimer before a film that all the characters and story is fiction, can TV folks write the same before their news stories?”.
Well, with some journalists and others taking the input editor’s side, and others taking Harish Shankar’s side, the debate is still going on.
