As we know, Nani’s Jersey is remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor in the lead. Apart from its intriguing updates every now and then, fans are also waiting for Nani to respond on the remake. And, finally, the actor did voice his opinion on the Hindi version.
“Gowtam Tinnanuri showed me some work and I believe it looks very promising. Gowtam is a man of very few words and I can thoroughly tell his inner feelings. If he likes it, I can see it on his face. Goutham is an introvert but when he said how happy he was with the outcome of the Hindi version, I can absolutely imagine how brilliantly it would have come out,” says Nani.
The actor also said that he is looking forward to the film. Nani further said that Shahid might even do it better than the original and he is a great actor. “Shahid can really get into the skin of the character,” he added. Talking about how theatres in most parts of the country are shut, Nani concluded that he is missing theatre experience.
“We have grown up watching films in theatres and even if I wasn’t an actor, I would miss the experience very much. Now that the world is going through a crisis, we ought to adapt to our alternate options. An OTT is a great option too”, he said. The Hindi remake of Jersey is slated for a release on Nov 5, 2021.
