Keerthy Suresh confining to sister roles

Generally, star heroines don’t prefer doing sister or supporting roles when they are at the peak of their careers.

But National Award winning actress Keerthy Suresh is breaking those stereotypes. In most of her upcoming films, she is playing a sister role to the lead hero.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is one of the most anticipated upcoming releases in the Tamil film industry. This Siva directorial movie is gearing up for a Diwali release. Keerthy will be seen as Rajini’s step-sister in this flick. The brother-sister bonding is the main crux of the movie and thus, she seems to have accepted the role.

In another Tamil film titled Saani Kaayidham, Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Selva Raghavan’s sister. This movie marks Selva Raghavan’s debut in acting. It has opted for a direct digital release. The premiere date will be announced soon.

In Tollywood, Keerthy is playing Megastar Chiranjeevi’s sister in the upcoming film Bhola Shankar. Just like Annaatthe, this movie also showcases the bonding between a brother and a sister. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the shoot of this film will kickstart soon.

In three of her upcoming releases, Keerthy is playing sister roles. It has to be seen if this risk brings her a tag of versatile actress or reduces her lead role offers in the future.
