The other day, director Puri Jagannadh celebrated his birthday and who’s who of Tollywood greeted the star director on his birthday. Especially, the stars who worked with Puri have taken to Twitter to extend their birthday greetings. Of all, superstar Mahesh Babu’s birthday wish and tweet stood out. What’s surprising is that Puri hasn’t responded to Mahesh’s wishes directly. Instead, Puri’s business partner Charmme Kaur took the onus in replying to Mahesh. Naturally, this doesn’t go well with Mahesh’s fans.
“Happy birthday @purijagan sir! Wishing you an incredible year filled with happiness & great health,” wrote Mahesh. To this, Charmme replied, “Thank u so much .. love and respect. Puri garu says LOVE U.”
Same is the case with Charmme’s reply to Venkatesh Daggubati. Venkatesh wrote, “Happy Birthday @purijagan ! Wishing you a fantastic year of abundant health and prosperity.” Charmee replied, “Thanks a lot. Puri garu says “ sooo happy to receive birthday wishes from a saint like u , love u a lot”
Even Ram Pothineni had faced the similar experience. Ram’s tweet, “Here’s wishing one of my favvvv humans..the thooppestttt director @purijagan garu a very happy birthday! Love you sir..#RAPO.” Charmme, reply, “Ustaaaaaaaddddddd thanks a ton. Puri garu says “ love u , you are my dynamite.”
Puri hasn’t responded to any of the tweets addressed to him. It was Charmee who replied back to every actor, director, producer who wished Puri on his birthday. This drew flak from netizens. One of the Twitteratis wrote, “Mouthpiece of Puri?”
