Actor Naresh who is the outgoing President of Movie Artists Association (MAA) has withdrawn from the latest MAA elections and extended full support to hero Vishnu Manchu and his panel. Naresh along with Vishnu’s panel held a press meet and made some interesting comments.
“In my tenure as MAA President, one year got wasted because of Covid-19. Despite the virus, I worked efficiently. But a few outsiders sponsored terrorism in my MAA panel and influenced about 11 members. They backstabbed me and tried to block the welfare works for under privileged artists. Yet I was never bothered about it,” said Naresh.
On his achievements Naresh added that never before in MAA history, my panel has provided insurance for 900 members. “If any member died, we ensured the insurance money of Rs 3 Lakh reached the deceased family. For youth we have cut down the membership fee and also initiated installment payments,” said Naresh.
Naresh countered Prakash Raj and shot a few questions. “In the 25 years history of MAA, have you cast your vote at least once? Did you attend any general body meeting? How many times have you got suspended by MAA? There is nothing wrong in these questions because Prakash Raj is the one who wanted transparency,” added Naresh.
Finally Naresh said that he is the mentor and philosopher of Vishnu’s panel and hoped that the Manchu hero wins the MAA elections.
