Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections will take place on 10th October. Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu are contesting for the President position and the fight between them is going to be interesting. Already, the war of words between the two panels is creating many debates in the film circles. Today, Prakash Raj opened up on the criticism coming his way.
Naresh, the outgoing president of the MAA Association is supporting Manchu Vishnu. In their recent press interactions, Naresh criticized Prakash Raj badly and even bought the discussion of ‘outsider’. Prakash Raj who tolerated these comments all these days could not take it anymore.
“I don’t understand why they bring the discussion of outsiders constantly. I am not a Telugu person. I was born in Karnataka but I grew as an actor in the Telugu states. I have 9 Nandi Awards and 2 National Awards to my kitty. Does anyone in that panel have these awards?” questioned Prakash Raj.
Prakash Raj can read, write and speak Telugu very well. He reads a lot of Telugu literature and is familiar with the writings of Sri Sri, Chalam, Balagangadhar Tilak, Atreya and others. Discussing the same, Prakash Raj said, “I am ready to talk about the Telugu language to any extent. Can anyone in that panel compete with me?”
After filing the nomination for the election, Manchu Vishnu made a controversial statement. “I am on the side of Telugu Film Industry. I don’t know if Prakash Raj is on the side of Telugu Film Industry or on the side of Pawan Kalyan,” said Manchu Vishnu, after Pawan’s controversial speech at the pre-release event of Republic.
Prakash Raj expressed anger over the same. “Pawan Kalyan belongs to Telugu Cinema. I don’t understand why they are distancing him from the film industry. He is an actor first and then a politician. Vishnu should have control over what he is talking,” said Prakash Raj, adding, “Manchu Vishnu’s film budget collectively equals the morning show collection of Pawan Kalyan’s film.”
Prakash Raj also said that his opposite panel members are unnecessarily dragging YS Jagan and KCR into the MAA Election. “Both the chief ministers are busy and they will not be interested in the MAA Election. Don’t drag them unnecessarily to give political color to the election,” said Prakash Raj.
Prakash Raj also admitted that he has differences with Pawan Kalyan about his ideology. “Pawan publicly admitted the same. But, when it comes to movies, we both are actors,” said Prakash Raj.
