Janhvi Kapoor is presently busy shooting for her upcoming film Mili, a Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Helen. The film is being shot in Dehradun. Amid the shooting, the actress headed to Delhi today for a felicitation ceremony for the Paralympians, who gave phenomenal performances at the Tokyo Paralympics last month.
The actress said that she met Arunima Sinha and her story is very inspiring. “I would love to play her on screen. It is very inspiring to see what they have achieved. They have made the country proud. I am happy to have met them,” she added, spilling her interest in playing one more biopic. Janhvi also launched the book ‘Vichhoda’ written by Harinder Sikka.
For the event, Janhvi opted for a pastel pink saree paired with embroidered blouse. She looks absolutely elegant and she secured her hair into a bun and applied subtle makeup. Kudos to her efforts for keeping it simple and apt for the event. Yet she made an attractive appearance today.
Talking about Arunima Sinha, who left Janhvi spellbound today, is an Indian mountain climber and sportswoman. She is the World’s first female amputee to scale Mount Everest, Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Carstensz Pyramid (Indonesia), and Mount Vinson.
Unfortunately, Sinha was pushed from a running train by some robbers in 2011, resulting in her left leg amputated below the knee. In 2015, the government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award of India.
