Superstar Rajinikanth has been conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest film honour at the 67th National Film Awards presentation. The event was held this morning in New Delhi and Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu was the guest of honour.
The Vice President Venkaiah felicitated the South Superstar with Phalke award memento. The entire hall stood up as Rajini walked on to the dais. Like always Rajini graced the occasion in simple white kurta and pyjamas.
Rajini’s wife Latha, daughter Aishwarya and son-in-law Dhanush were also present at the ceremony.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut won the Best Actress award for her performance from ‘Manikarnika’ while actors Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush shared the Best Actor award for their respective roles in ‘Bhonsle’ and ‘Asuran.’
