After delivering a super hit with RX100, director Ajay Bhupathi took more than three years to come up with his second film. A few days back, his second outing Maha Samudram has hit the screens and ended up as a flop at the box office.
Even though it had multiple stalwarts like Siddharth, Sharwanand, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anu Emmanuel, the film just failed to impress the audience. Maha Samudram made a lot of buzz way before it went on the floors.
Ajay earlier narrated the story to other star heroes like Ravi Teja, Nithiin, Naga Chaitanya, Nani, and Ram. It was also reported that he had approached Samantha to play the female lead. But none of the above-mentioned actors accepted the script.
Now, they have luckily missed a flop. Ajay finally took the script to Siddharth and Sharwanand. Though the duo gave their best, the pale story and screenplay have played the spoilsport.
Even Ajay Bhupathi was highly-confident about Maha Samudram’s success prior to its release. But as his expectations failed, it has to be seen what will be his next move.
