Maha Samudram is one of the films that released amidst huge hype in Tollywood. The film that released on 14th October and ended as a big flop at the box office. Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anu Emmanuel played the lead roles. RX100 fame Ajay Bhupathi is the film’s director.
Ajay Bhupathi apologized to one of the netizens who expressed disappointment over the film’s failure. Ajay accepted that he could not reach the expectations of the audience.
“Maha samudaram anti anna ala tesavu chala expect chasa,” wrote a netizen and Ajay replied, “Sorry for not reaching your expectations… Next time I will be back with a story that can satisfy you all…”
With Siddharth making his comeback to Telugu cinema with this film, there were a lot of expectations in the film. Sharwanand too gave a huge hype to the film during the film’s pre-release event. But in the end, the film failed to have a proper theatrical run even for a week.
Earlier, Ajay Bhupathi pitched the film to actors like Ravi Teja, Nithiin, Naga Chaitanya, Nani, Ram, and Samantha. All of them rejected the film and escaped the flop.
