Celebs Pour In Condolences Tweets For Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar

Kannada’s popular hero Puneeth Rajkumar’s death comes as one of the most shocking news of late. The whole nation is saddened to hear the 46-year-old actor’s demise.

The news came as a shock, not just to the fraternity but to millions of fans the actor had, around the world. Many celebs are also tweeting condolences, remembering the talented actor.

Chiranjeevi tweeted the news is shocking and heartbreaking. The Megastar further paid his condolences to the bereaved family. Puneeth Rajkumar’s mortal remains are being taken to Bengaluru’s Kanteerava stadium, where fans can pay their last respects to the late actor.

Starting his career as a child artist, Puneeth carved a niche for himself and there was no looking back. He grew to popularity after he tried his luck in television, and soon after, he became a household name.

Puneeth Rajkumar had a long career span of over two decades in the South Film industry. The actor was last seen in the Kannada movie Yuvarathnaa which was a super hit film.

Mahesh Babu shared a good rapport with the late actor, and the friendship became stronger when Puneeth remade Dookudu in Kannada (Power). Mahesh wrote that Puneeth was one of the most humble people he ever interacted.

The death of the actor is a massive and irreparable loss to the Kannada film industry. Fans have gathered outside the Vikram hospital where Rajkumar was admitted, and they are mourning the actor’s untimely death.

The actor had even won the prestigious National Award as the best child artist for the 1985 movie Bettada Hoovu. Puneeth had recently finished shooting for his film Chethan Kumar’s James with Priya Anand.

He was popularly called Appu and Power Star in the film industry. He was the son of legendary actors Rajkumar and Parvathamma

Puneeth’s older brother Shiva Rajkumar and several other family members were seen entering the hospital while actors Yash, Darshan, and others reached soon after. Karnataka C.M. Basavaraj Bommai also visited the hospital.

Puneeth Rajkumar attended the pre-release event of Bhajarangi-2 recently and was expected to watch the movie today. He was currently shooting for the action-packed movie ‘James’.

Some of his popular works are Abhi, Jackie, rana, Ajay, Hudugaru and many more. The actor’s last big screen outing was Yuvarathnaa, which was released in April this year.

MAA president and actor Manchu Vishnu is in shock. He tweeted “Oh God! Praying for my brother Puneeth to recover well. Please pray for him” just an hour before the actor’s death.
