At a time when many other movies are hitting cinemas and with Radheshyam trying to take over the teachers in just a week span, what will Rajamouli’s RRR do to retain a maximum number of theatres? If that’s your question, then Rajamouli and his producer DVV Danayya have already made arrangements to make sure that RRR gets its lion share, no matter what.
Leading multiplex giant PVR Cinemas is said to have made an exclusive deal with DVV Danayya regarding the upcoming Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer, we hear. They say that PVR will be screening RRR in 90% of theatres across India in all the languages as per the language to be played in that particular region. For the first week, we might see almost 99% occupancy of RRR in all the theatre chains owned by this multiplex giant.
While the plan is quite exciting as RRR will get so many theatres and even the arrival of Radhesyam won’t shake it a bit, the big doubt is what will other competitors do now.
PVR has competition from other multiplex giants in India and they might now screen Radhesyam full time rather than screening RRR, which will anyway divide the market big time. Will that be a good move or a bad move is something we would know only after looking at the film’s collections.
