The trailer of Malayalam charming hero Dulquer Salmaan’s ambitious film ‘Kurup’ has been dropped. Directed by Srinath Rajendran, the film is a period drama and inspired real events
The trailer begins with a constable answering a telephone call and he informs the other person that his higher officer Krishnadas left for Bhopal to nab Kurup. To the constable’s utter shock, the dialler is Kurup himself.
‘Kurup’ is the story of India’s longest wanted fugitive on the life of Sukumara Kurup who went missing 1984 and is still untraceable. The trailer is completely Dulqueer’s one man show. In multiple avatars, he is on the run and survives the scare of police and other agencies.
Despite being a fugitive, Kurup has time for romance too. ‘Goodachari’ lady Sobhita Dhulipala played Dulquer’s love interest and she has knowledge of the misdeeds of the protagonist yet the love blossoms.
The trailer is engaging from the start to end while music by Sushin Shyam compliments the visuals. With ‘Kurup’ Dulquer is experimenting with the pan-India trend and the film is releasing in five languages on November 12th.
