Actor Suriya visited Kanteerava Studios to pay his last respects to Kannada Powerstar late Puneeth Rajkumar. The videos and pictures on the same are doing rounds on the internet and we can see Suriya breaking down into tears at Puneeth’s memorial.
Suriya also spoke with Puneeth’s brother Shivarajkumar and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family. A video of Suriya crying at his memorial has left fans heartbroken. A couple of days ago, the actor, along with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel, Producers SR Prabhu and Rajasekar Pandian, flew to Bengaluru to pay respects to Puneeth Rajkumar.
Suriya further spoke to the media and said that life is very unfair and he is unable to accept the tragic incident that has happened. “My family and Anna’s family are very close to each other. My father spent a lot of good memories with his family. Puneeth and I first met when our mothers were pregnant. My mom was four months pregnant with me, while Puneeth’s mom was seven months pregnant with him”.
He further said that even his parents cannot accept Puneeth’s demise. Suriya recalled how Puneeth always had a smiling face all the time. “I only heard about all the good things he had done in his life. We will hold on to the memories and will not let go of them. I pray for more strength for his family, his daughters, fans and all the Kannadigas. I will terribly miss him. My prayers and deepest condolences to his family”.
Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly called Appu and Powerstar passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 46 on October 29. Puneeth was laid to rest at the Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru with full state honours. Many Telugu celebrities such as Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Rana, Ali, Balakrishna, Srikanth have come to pay their respects to the late actor’s funeral on Oct 31.
