While the film Ismart Shankar has turned out to be another turning point in the career of composer Manisharma whose popularity faded out in recent times while he was a sort after star composer in the 2000s. And then, Megastar gave him a mega chance in the form of Acharya, but it looks like the mega justice is not at all happening.
While the first song Laahe Laahe from Acharya turned out to be good, it hasn’t excited many music lovers. But then, they have expected that other songs from the film might stun everyone. However, the newly released Neelambari song, which features Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in the leads, isn’t at all interesting for sure. Manisharma’s old-style tunes, orchestration, beat making and the rest of the music work is not at all a winner we must say.
At a time when Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad have taken Telugu songs to next level with their sound tones and terrific compositions, Manisharma’s old wine in a old bottle isn’t at all exciting. And this work might not help the film big time while director Korala Siva’s previous films have huge musical success at the box office on that note.
We have to see if Mani came up with interesting songs for the other numbers in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya.
