Trivikram Srinivas. The name needs no introduction to the Telugu film audiences. He is often considered a modern genius in Telugu cinema. In times where people are forgetting our mother tongue, Trivikram made such audiences fall in love with the language with his writing skills. Delivering philosophies in a simple dialect is Trivikram’s signature. The writer-turned-director celebrates his 50th birthday today. On this occasion, here is a look back into his illustrious career.
Trivikram hails from Bhimavaram town of Andhra Pradesh. He was a gold medalist in Nuclear Physics during his master’s degree from Andhra University. With immense love for cinema, Trivikram shifted his career path.
He started off his career as a dialogue and story writer. He shot to fame with films like Swayamvaram, Nuvve Kavali, Chiru Navvutho, Nuvvu Naku Nachav, and Vasu. In 2002, he made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Nuvve Nuvve, which became a super success at the box office.
In 2005, he came up with his second directorial film Athadu. Though it was a theatrical failure, Athadu gained cult status with its television telecasts. It is still considered the best work for Trivikram by many of his fans. Irrespective of box office results, Trivikram’s films are enjoyed by families.
Jalsa, Khaleja, Atharintiki Daredi, S/o Satyamurthy, A.Aa.., Aravinda Sametha and Ala…Vaikunthapurramuloo are some of his popular directorial works. He is currently penning the screenplay and dialogues for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak. Apart from that, he is also prepping up to start his new directorial project with Superstar Mahesh Babu. This film will hit the floors soon.
