Actually, the original festival for Tollywood is going to begin in 2022 as the year’s first month is witnessing the release of some major movies like Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, Prabhas’ vintage fantasy treat Radheshyam and if possible Pawan Kalyan’s mass outing Bheemla Nayak as well. But before that festival comes up, a shaking treat is coming in December 2021 itself.
Firstly we have Nandamuri Balakrishna’s mass stunner Akhanda, which has Boyapati Sreenu at the helm. The film is getting a massive release on December 2nd, thereby kickstarting a mass festival even before January 2022 arrives. Then comes Varun Tej’s Ghani opening the coolest December season with some thrilling boxing content. The film is likely to hit cinemas on 9th day of the month.
These two releases are followed by a massive movie which might beat all the expectations and that is none other than Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, a rugged and rustic mass film crafted by creative filmmaker Sukumar. The film is releasing in 3-4 languages and the super hit songs are already promising massive footfalls and another stupendous hit for Icon Star after Ala Vaikuntapurramlo.
After these three movies enthral, the audience is going to get one more treat, which happens to be Nani’s Syam Singha Roy, which might hit cinemas on December 24th as a Christmas special. While Nani has almost confirmed the release, reports have that even Raviteja’s Khiladi might release on the same day. That makes December 2021 a no-miss season for Telugu movie lovers, thus shaking Tollywood from top to bottom.
If all these films do well, then the festival is going to come a month in advance for the Telugu film industry, which is actually reeling from lack of superhits and terrific box office collections from some time.
