Biopic On Puneeth Rajkumar; Fan Requests A Director On Twitter

The sudden demise of Kannada power star Puneeth Rajkumar still sounds unbelievable and heartbreaking. His death has left a huge void in the Sandalwood film industry. The actor was last seen in Yuvarathnaa and fans were desperate for releases of his next line of films. In a similar vein, a fan asked Kannada director Santhosh Ananddram to make Puneeth’s biopic and the former replied in a positive manner.

A fan took to Twitter and wrote, “@SanthoshAnand15 sir please do a biopic on Appu sir..u have seen him closely and experienced his love n values. So please,” said the fan, and to this Santhosh Ananddram replied, “I’ll try my level best to bring this idea on screen  #appusirliveson”. 

Soon after, many netizens expressed that Santhosh Ananddram would be the right choice if Puneeth Rajkumar’s life were to be made into a film. Some fans also encouraged the director to make a biopic. To the unversed, Santhosh and Puneeth Rajkumar were very close and have also worked together for two blockbuster films.

The duo collaborated and gave blockbuster film Rajaakumaraa and four years later yet again with Yuvarathnaa. In fact, the director was also planning to make their third collaboration and the film’s idea was on cards. Just then, this unfortunate incident happened. On the work front, Puneeth will be seen in his next posthumous release James. The film will reportedly hit the theatres on his birth anniversary, March 17.
