First, we have some Malayali films like Kurup in recent times who have flown to Dubai to celebrate some pre-release events for their films. For a fact that middle-east countries are having lots of Malayali population, it made sense that these Malayalm producers went to UAE for the events. However, top-notch pan-India movies like RRR and then Pushpa, also announced their Dubai plans, hoping that it will give them terrific attention.
Reports are now coming out that the Dubai event of RRR got cancelled as that is costing huge for the producer to accommodate a stellar cast like NTR, Charan, Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt and all others to the venue. However, some sources revealed that fear of covid cases has forced the team to back off from their Emirates plan. At the same time, even the Dubai event of Pushpa looks doubtful as lots of pending works of the film including dubbing, item song filming and visual effects are taking a toll on producers and director as well, and they are not in a mood for the event now.
Anyway, the much hyped pre-release events of these two films might happen in India only and the stars of the films might attend for a short media interaction in Dubai and the United Kingdom (or USA) to promote their movies. For now, songs and promos of RRR and Pushpa have garnered huge image and attention for both movies.
While RRR is hitting cinemas on Jan 7th 2022, Pushpa is coming ahead on December 17th, 2021 itself.
