Balakrishna is Lord Siva of Tollywood: Thaman

Balakrishna Nandamuri and Pragya Jaiswal played the lead roles in the upcoming Telugu film Akhanda. The film is hitting the screens on 2nd December. The film’s pre-release event took place on Saturday in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun and Rajamouli graced the occasion as the chief guests. Thaman is the film’s music director who put up a live musical performance on the stage. Along with drummer Siva Mani, all the singers who worked on the film’s audio album performed the songs on the stage.

Speaking at the event, Thaman heaped praises on Nandamuri Balakrishna. “You are Lord Siva of our film industry. We know how spiritual are. I thank you for transforming your energy for us. Balayya Babu garu is a transformer and Boyapati garu can give him the right voltage. I enjoyed doing the re-recording for the film,” said Thaman about Balayya Babu.

Thaman also recollected the initial days of his career. “Bhairava Dweepam was my first film as a drummer. I still remember working for the film at the age of 12. I received 30 rupees as remuneration for it. I am really thankful to Balayya garu for giving me an opportunity to work on the film. I enjoyed every bit of working for Akhanda.” said Thaman.

“There is no scope to compose mass songs in the film but I tried my best to satisfy the fans. Balakrishna garu’s dance skills are extraordinary. If there are 70 scenes in the film, I assure everyone that the fans will not be seated for over 50 scenes. The film will be high on mass elements. I can’t tell that Akhanda is a commercial film but I can tell that everyone will enjoy the film. People will be in Siva’s trance,” said Thaman, revealing that he is still in Akhanda trance.

Thaman also thanked his musicians, lyricists, and team members for contributing to the success of the audio album
