Nani: Dont’t worry Satya, I won’t speak about ticket rates

Natural Star Nani is one of the few heroes who raised his voice against the movie tickets issue in Andhra Pradesh. Nani did it months ago when the AP government announced its plan and was yet to pass the bill in the assembly.

Just a few days back, the government of Andhra Pradesh issued a bill about the fixed movie ticket rates and a single online movie ticket booking portal, in the state assembly. Since then, barring a couple of heroes, none of the stars has raised any concern about the bill or spoke against Andhra Pradesh’s government.

Last night, Nani attended the pre-release event of Skylab as a chief guest. It was expected that the actor will speak about the issue at the event. But he clarified that he won’t. Speaking at the event, Nani said, “Don’t worry Satya (Skylab’s lead hero), I won’t speak about ticket rates or theatres tonight. Last time when I spoke, every news article was about that issue.”

“I have spoken what I need to. It has to be seen if others speak about it or not,” he further added.

Nani raised his voice against the tickets issue at the pre-release event of Thimmarusu earlier this year. Coincidentally, even that film featured Satya Dev as the lead hero.

At that event, Nani said that the government is hiking the prices of daily commodities like vegetables, oil, petrol, and diesel, but when it comes to cinema, there are a lot of restrictions regarding the hike of ticket prices. The actor faced a bit of flak for those statements. Maybe, that is the reason why he didn’t wish to speak about the tickets issue at Skylab’s event.
