Drishyam is one of the most successful franchises in the Indian film industry. Until now, two parts of this movie were released and both of them ended up as successful ventures. These two parts were remade into other languages as well.
After the success of Drishyam 2, fans wanted director Jeethu Joseph to come up with the third part too. However, the director says that there are only 50-50 chances to make the third instalment, as of now. He stated that it may take two or three years to make it.
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Jeethu Joseph said, “I’m working on it (Part 3) I have a climax and I even discussed it with Mohanlal sir and he was excited but to reach that climax I need a lot of scenes. So, that’s my challenging area and I’m working on it. If I get the good ideas, I will work on it because I don’t want to do it for the sake of making 3rd part.”
Currently, Jeethu is busy with the post-production works of his upcoming film 12th Man, which also features Mohanlal in the lead role. This is the fourth movie in their combination.
Their third film together, Ram is kept on hold as of now. Most of its shoot will be done in the UK and Arab countries. As there are travel restrictions now in the other countries, the makers are planning to shoot it when the situation settles down.
