One of the biggest supporting pillars of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest film “Akhanda” is SS Thaman’s terrific background score. Even for an ordinary fight sequence, his hair rising BGM laced with superior sound effects had elevated the feel to the next level. And that’s why everyone is saying that nothing could beat the theatrical experience of watching a movie.
Guess what, while this loud and thumping BGM is being enjoyed by Telugu audiences in India, a theatre chain in the USA has shocked film lovers big time. Because they say that the audio level is actually exceeding the specific decibels that is allowed to play for the audience.
Cinemark theatre chain in the USA opined that their speakers will get affected if this loud sound is played and hence they reduced the sound level of Thaman’s final output. Regarding the audience who are coming to Cinemark to catch up with Akhanda, they have even displayed boards, expressing their inconveniences.
Theatre owners complaining about film’s sound and how that loud sound could cause damage to their speakers is something we don’t hear in India or Telugu states in the first place. Well, there are certain rules and regulations to be followed in the USA.
