Suriya’s Jai Bhim is one of the blockbuster hits this year. This brave and bold attempt by director TJ Gnanavel received huge accolades for its thought-provoking plot. After getting showered with praises for its truly-brutally honest, clear-cut reality filled with heart-wrenching scenes, the film hits headlines again as Jai Bhim has officially entered the Golden Globes 2022.

Leaving the whole team on cloud nine, Jai Bhim has now officially entered the Golden Globes 2022 as a nomination under the category of ‘Best Non-English Language Film’. The movie also surpassed the record hit of IMDb rating of Hollywood’s superhit films ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and ‘The Godfather’ and is now rated at 9.6.

After watching the film, one would only think that the director unquestionably has to be awarded for the stupendous success of this movie which solely entertains family audiences without depending upon mass components. The detailed portrayal of true events & people also struck the right chords. But the film also landed in controversy post its release despite receiving accolades from critics and audiences alike.

Jai Bhim narrates the tale of a landmark legal battle led by Sengani and lawyer Chandru, when her husband Rajakannu, who belongs to the Irular tribe, is framed by the police in a false case. Rajakannu passed away in 1993 due to police brutality during the case. In conclusion, it is important to mention that several foreign websites also reviewed Jai Bhim for flawlessly speaking about custodial violence, Police cover-up, Systemic corruption at a huge level.
