The much-awaited theatrical trailer of SS Rajamouli’s RRR was unveiled just about a while ago. Already, it started smashing all records on Youtube and is spreading like a wildfire on the internet.
Meanwhile, the makers have announced the other day that the trailer will be unveiled in theatres at 10 AM in the morning and it will be available online at 4 PM.
However, they flipped the plan and released the trailer online just after the theatrical screening got finished. This is a good strategy by the makers to pull the crowd to the theatres. Rajamouli is a master of promotions and he knows exactly how to market his movies with unique strategies.
The filmmaker initially created a feeling in the fans that the trailer won’t be out until 4 PM and pushed them to theatres. If not everyone, this strategy has pushed some fans to hit the screens and not wait for the Youtube release.
On the other hand, there is also an opinion that it is not a strategy but the fear of the film unit. If the trailer is released late on Youtube, it will kill the excitement of the audience waiting for it. The people who watched in theatres would record the trailer and share it on social media and Whatsapp. The fear could also have driven the makers to prepone the trailer’s release to avoid the leakages that can be done through the theatrical screenings.
Meanwhile, RRR’s trailer has been getting a unanimous positive response from the audience. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for its release.
RRR hits the screens on January 7, 2022. Jr NTR and Ram Charan played the lead roles in it.
