Pushpa: The Rise is the first part of the Pushpa franchise that is gearing up for a grand release on the coming Friday. The film’s pre-release party witnessed multiple stars at the event. SS Rajamouli, Siva Koratala, Allu Aravind, and others attended as the guests.
Speaking at the event, Sunil reminded everyone of his speech from the pre-release event of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. “I told Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will be a Pelli Bhojanam for the audience. Now, Pushpa will be a perfect Dhawath. Do not miss it,” said Sunil.
“The film’s locations, artists, and everything about the movie will haunt you for one week after the film’s release,” said Sunil about Pushpa.
Sunil confirmed that he is playing a villain in the film. “It took me 300 films as a comedian and 10 films as a solo lead to become villain,” said Sunil, adding his fear about the acceptance from the audience for his role.
“I request everyone to watch me with a fresh perspective. Everyone knew that I am a comedian but this time, I want everyone to watch me by forgetting everything about me. I do not have this fear in other languages because everyone will naturally think that I am a villain but I am just afraid about how my role will fare in Telugu,” said Sunil.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Devi Sri Prasad is the film’s music director. Rashmika Mandanna is the film’s female lead.
Pushpa is hitting the screens on 17th December 2021.
