This is the season where many actors are dubbing for their lines in other languages. For example, we have both Jr NTR and Ram Charan dubbing for RRR in Telugu as well as Hindi, Kannada and Tamil too.
Similarly, many Tamil actors are dubbing their lines in Telugu also, while Fahad Fassil, a Malayalam star who never knew the Telugu language dubbed here as well. But then, “Pushpa” star has a different take on this.
When questioned as to why he didn’t dub for Pushpa in other languages except for Telugu, he said, “I don’t have any ‘paithyam’ to dub in all the languages. No matter how impressive a non-Telugu artist’s Telugu dubbing is, somewhere we feel his dialect and diction are not sounding native. If I dub in Tamil or Hindi, surely I will sound quite different from a native speaker. To avoid that, I’ve left that dubbing to local talents only to not spoil the greatness of the film”.
In fact, Allu Arjun’s version is being accepted by many as dubbing in other languages will surely make that nativity touch go amiss. At the same time, other South Indian languages audiences are not as forgiving as Telugu people to accept the lines of hero in broken style. But then, some actors really dub well in other languages and their perspective is different about it.
