Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ had release hiccups but the film surpassed the expectations not just in Telugu states but also in all the languages. In Nizam, the film posted record box office numbers by making Rs 11.44 crore share and this is a big feat in the region and a personal milestone for Bunny.
Additional shows and hike in ticket prices immensely helped ‘Pushpa’ in Nizam region. Also being Allu Arjun’s first pan India film, many eyes were on the Hindi collections too. The morning shows reported very low occupancy but as the day progressed, the positive talk helped and ‘Pushpa’ collected Rs 3 crore net.
Rs 3 crore is a big number from Hindi audiences considering the restrictions in theatres, limited shows and less promotions. The Hindi trade analysts believe that ‘Pushpa’ is likely to post some stunning numbers in the weekend. Also ‘Pushpa’ day one collections in Hindi had gone past ‘KGF’ mark of Rs 2.8 crore and remember that the Kannada film belongs to pre-Covid era.
And in Tamil Nadu, Pushpa’s collections are close to Rs 4 crore gross and that’s a phenomenal start. In Karnataka, the film made Rs 3.65 crore share and the gross is Rs 6.72 crore.
With other regions collections yet to be known, ‘Pushpa’ gross collections is likely to fall in the bracket of Rs 40 crore to Rs 50 crore and this is the start everyone had anticipated for.
