Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is declared a big hit at the box office. The film is minting massive revenues at the ticket windows. The makers want to celebrate the film’s success with fans and plan multiple success parties in different cities of the Telugu states. The team announced a success party today in Kakinada but the officials denied permission to the event.
Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled the film and the production house informed everyone on their social media handle that the event has been canceled.
“#PushpaTheRise MASSive Success Party in Kakinada today has been canceled due to permission issues!” read the tweet from the production house’s handle.
Although the producers mentioned that the permission is denied, there is no clarity on what grounds did the officials deny the permission.
The buzz on social media says that the growing Omicron cases are a major concern for any government. Already, many states in the country declared a night curfew and implemented restrictions on the occupancy at theatres, malls, restaurants, and other places. So, the AP government might have denied the permission in view of a huge gathering at the event.
Interestingly, another reason being said is the harsh decisions made by the government towards Tollywood. A few are speculating that the government is intentionally being harsh on the film industry. Already, the government decreased the ticket prices, canceled the benefit shows, seized many theatres that are not following the rules.
Team Pushpa celebrated the film’s success a few days ago on 21st December, at Tirupathi. We have to see if the team shifts the event to any other venue or keeps it on hold for the time being.
